City tour, Valley South, Sacred Valley and train to Machu Picchu 4d / 3N
These four fantastic days we will visit archaeological sites of the city of Cusco Imperial and the South Valley then immerse us in the Sacred Valley of the Incas and end completely delighted with the wonder of the world and cultural heritage of humanity: Machu Picchu.
We will begin our trip enjoying with a visit to the most representative places of the imperial city of cusco and its surroundings by way of acclimatization to our following days of travel in the two day walk through two archaeological complex and the Temple of San Pedro or Sistine Chapel of America, for day three you have prepared a journey through the Sacred Valley of the incas by visiting the archaeological site of Pisac and Ollantaytambo fortress After finishing our tour we will go by train to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night, in the fourth day enjoy very early dawn in the great inca city of Machu Picchu
DAY 1. CITY TOUR IN CUSCO
After being picked up from your hotel will begin his journey that will take you to the Cathedral of the Cusco, then we will we go to Q qoricancha, the most important religious center in the inca Empire, was then heading out of town to visit the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Amphitheatre of Q q’enqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay, the bath of the Inca. After this fantastic experience we will return to the imperial city to your respective hotel.
DAY 2. SOUTH VALLEY TOUR TIPON – PIKILLACTA AND ANDAHUAYLILLAS
PIKILLAQTA: is now considered as one of the cities most famous and best preserved Inca pre that exist in the Peru belonged to the culture Wari, along with our tour, we will go to Andahuaylillas.
ANDAHUAYLILLAS: Spotlight is the Temple of San Pedro or Sistine Chapel of America dating back to the 16th century. Stand out its wonderful wall paintings, works by renowned painters of the era which include Diego Quispe Tito. The pieces are part of the most important baroque art of the Peru.
Finally we ended the tour to average 14 hours to return to Cuzco to take you to your respective hotel.
DAY 3. CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES
This day will be the “Sacred Valley of the incas” tour, starting the tour at 9:00 am in the morning, collect les from your hotel to direct us to the archaeological areas.
Pisac, will visit the typical market where you can see the famous fair of handicrafts and the archaeological group of Pisac with their amazing terraces on the mountain.
Urubamba is a village where we will have a lunch buffet consisting of Andean products, a native of the place of the Sacred Valley.
Ollantaytambo is a monumental architectural complex of the ancient inca Empire, commonly called ‘Fortress’, due to its colossal walls, was actually a Tambo (ciudad-alojamiento), located strategically in order to master the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Ending the tour we will go to Ollantaytambo’s train station, to board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, where company staff will pick you up and take you to your respective hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu village). The guide will provide the explanation of the Machu Picchu tour.
DAY 4. AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
This day we will wake up very early and after breakfast we will board the first bus 5:30 AM, we will make a 30 minute trip arriving at the citadel of Machu Picchu at 6:00 AM and to appreciate the majestic sunrise. We will have a guided tour of 2 hours to know the most important places of Machu Picchu tour, those who wish may go up to Wayna Picchu * (not included – reservations required ).
After the tour you will have free time of about 04 hours to visit Machu Picchu on your own. You can go down to Aguas Calientes where you can visit the thermal baths (entrance ticket not included), after lunch in a restaurant (not included) we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo station where Our transfer is going to pick up you to return to Cusco City on your repective hotel.
* Take an optional Wayna Picchu hike up the steep peak called Huayna Picchu, located inside the archaeological site of Machu Picchu. The road takes about 45 – 60 minutes and we will appreciate exclusive and unforgettable views of Machu Picchu from a fantastic perspective. Please note that if you want to take this optional excursion, you must contact us at least 1 month in advance to reserve your ticket.
